I’m very happy to have made the winning chili for the second year in a row! Last year I won with a Zippy’s type chili, inspired by the Hawaiian chain of restaurants and this year was a more standard chili that included steak, hamburger and andouille sausage. Instead of Cayenne for the heat I only used Jalapeno. The Social committee did a great job organizing everything (as usual).

Outstanding pizza! Vince and Dominics Pizzeria has been my favorite place for pizza for decades.

Also served by the slice and those slices are HUGE.

A fellow REALTOR friend (Kathy) posted a discount on Facebook for Barrel Oak Winery. The deal is over July 13, 2011, Click for deal – but I thought I’d post a picture of my bottles of wine from Barrell Oak Winery. My friends (and past clients) Drew and Dawn invited my wife and me to tour several Northern Virginia Wineries and we had a blast. Here’s a link to a list of local wineries.

Pictured: Two Chocolate Labs. A 2006 (I think) and a 2010. It’ll be nice to taste the differences.

I just found this new label in the West Springfield Whole Foods. I looked on their web site and they started business in Alexandria, Virginia in 2010 but they’re new to me. Pictured is their Pale Ale and it’s tasty and the head sticks to the glass in rings as you drink it, which is a good sign!

Hey look… They made a bottle of wine and named it after my past and future real estate clients!

I miss the idea of the Cuckoos Nest but I know I’ll frequent these establishments more.
Located on the corner of Route 108 and Georgia Ave.

Normally I eschew chains but On The Border has the BEST chicken stuffed Jalapeno’s
anywhere. Hot and Tasty! I don’t think I’ve ever been here without ordering them :)

I was thinking that a Roy’s Gift Card would be a good settlement gift. You know… because my name’s Roy… I grew up in Hawaii… and it’s a fabulous restaurant! Unfortunately, the only local Roy’s is in Baltimore. It’s fine for my Montgomery, Howard and Anne Arundel County home buyers but probably not my Northern Virginia folks. What do you think?
