My first real video tour of a home for sale. The industry standard is to use picture slideshows and call them videos because they are on youtube but this is an actual video. It’s much more expensive and takes a lot longer than the old way. Is it worth it? You decide!

This home has recently been listed for sale in Fairfax Station’s equestrian community of The English Hills Estate.

I like to advertise in my local school directory. My wife works at Sangster, my kids have gone or go Sangster. The advertisement includes a picture of Linny of “Lunch with Linny” fame. A contest to win an actual lunch with Linny will be on my main page shortly.

Neighborhoods that feed to Sangster include: South Run, Somerset at South Run, South Run Forest, Orange Hunt Estates, Orange Hunt Square, Lakewood Hills, Longwood Knolls, Shadowalk, Foutainhead and several others. It’s a great school!

Here’s an example of one of my Craigslist advertisements. In addition to the MLS, I regularly post advertisements in Craigslist and MilitaryByOwner. It’s not formatted for this post but this link will render it correctly as it appears on Craigslist.

Here are some old ads I found while doing some more Spring cleaning. My long time friend Bob, whom I’ve known since I was a teenager, partnered up with me (or rather, I with him). He was the reason I got into real estate in the first place.

Bob was a fantastic real estate partner and after that, transitioned into a mortgage lender. I used him for every loan possible including my own. He’s now working in a different line of work which he truly enjoys.

I’m the kid on the right!

I study a Japanese Martial Art and we don’t really hold our hands like this but it looked martial artsie. I think it’s more like a Kung Fu thing. I trained at a seminar with Dan Inosanto once and those guys did it. I think I also saw it a lot on the newest Karate Kid movie.

It’s always nice to hear some praise! The 2010 numbers are in and RE/MAX does it again for the 13′th year in a row :)

Gary Vaynerchuk wrote The Thank You Economyand was recently interviewed on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. Definitely applicable to real estate marketing of self and homes.

We’re supposed to change our photos periodically but most don’t. My first picture (I’m trying to find it) has me sporting a beard and mustache. This is my second professional picture circa 1994 or 1995.

Update: I found it… here!
