Hey… get a haircut! Very Achy Breaky of me at 24 years old or so. Would you buy a house from this guy? I didn’t actually become Northern Virginia and Maryland’s best real estate agent until 5 years later. Shortly after becoming a REALTOR, I started training in the Martial Arts at age 29 or maybe 30.

I study a Japanese Martial Art and we don’t really hold our hands like this but it looked martial artsie. I think it’s more like a Kung Fu thing. I trained at a seminar with Dan Inosanto once and those guys did it. I think I also saw it a lot on the newest Karate Kid movie.

I posted these but I didn’t take them. My long time, good friend David Wasserman took them. David and I have known each other for about 15 years. We’ve had real estate transactions together and we’ve trained together at Scott Teagues Academy of Martial Arts. We even attended each others Black Belt Ceremonies. He took some pictures of the 2011 Cherry Blossoms and I liked them so much I asked to post them. I put them on my Flickr account and generated a slideshow to display here. David is a professional photographer and his contact information is below the slideshow. Please visit his site. Enjoy!

This article appeared in the Olney Gazette in the late 1990′s or early 2000′s. Mr. Kearney’s grand children have also attended this school. He lives out of state but he still comes to teach or train when he visits.

This takes 4 minutes but I finally win. I don’t make him tap out, I instead win by points.

I took him down but he overpowered me and forced an arm bar against his knee. I think he was competing under his ability. He got me pretty quickly.

I once tried to blend my two passions into my advertisements. I think I got the line wrong though, in the movie Highlander, it’s supposed to read: “There can BE only one”

The finest martial arts school in the DC area and I’m not just saying that because I train and teach there… OK, maybe I am :)
