These are from last year but I never imported them from my old blog. We spent the day building these flower boxes for Sangster Elementary School projects. Yours truly on the left and I was brawn not brains for this particular project.

I’m very happy to have made the winning chili for the second year in a row! Last year I won with a Zippy’s type chili, inspired by the Hawaiian chain of restaurants and this year was a more standard chili that included steak, hamburger and andouille sausage. Instead of Cayenne for the heat I only used Jalapeno. The Social committee did a great job organizing everything (as usual).

White’s Ferry crosses the Potomac River between Montgomery County, MD and Loudoun County, VA. Whenever I have an appointment in the other state and I’m close enough, I always choose to travel this route.

I posted these but I didn’t take them. My long time, good friend David Wasserman took them. David and I have known each other for about 15 years. We’ve had real estate transactions together and we’ve trained together at Scott Teagues Academy of Martial Arts. We even attended each others Black Belt Ceremonies. He took some pictures of the 2011 Cherry Blossoms and I liked them so much I asked to post them. I put them on my Flickr account and generated a slideshow to display here. David is a professional photographer and his contact information is below the slideshow. Please visit his site. Enjoy!

We have a friend who’s related to Jeff Kinney the Author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books. Our friend was nice enough to invite my family to attend a private screening of his newest movie, Rodrick Rules. It was a very funny movie with lots of “laugh out loud” moments. After the movie, Mr. Kinney took us all out for lunch.

Pictured below is Jeff Kinney signing a book and his brother, the “real life” Rodrick.

The Party Bus, yes that’s a pole in the back… no I didn’t get on it.

Good friends and past clients Dawn and Drew invited me and my wife on a party bus to tour several wineries. We visited:

Naked Mountain Vineyard & Winery
Aspen Dale Winery at the Barn
Delaplane Cellars
Barrel Oak Winery

We accessed Pimmit Run Trail from this Elementary School but there are lots of Access Points
