These are from last year but I never imported them from my old blog. We spent the day building these flower boxes for Sangster Elementary School projects. Yours truly on the left and I was brawn not brains for this particular project.
Samantha made this Rapunzel Turkey for her second grade project at Sangster Elementary School. The hallways at Sangster are full of themed Turkeys.
I’m very happy to have made the winning chili for the second year in a row! Last year I won with a Zippy’s type chili, inspired by the Hawaiian chain of restaurants and this year was a more standard chili that included steak, hamburger and andouille sausage. Instead of Cayenne for the heat I only used Jalapeno. The Social committee did a great job organizing everything (as usual).
Outstanding pizza! Vince and Dominics Pizzeria has been my favorite place for pizza for decades.
Also served by the slice and those slices are HUGE.

Gone are the days of $2 haircuts and talking about the big one (WW2)… Now my wife and I go to the same place to get our haircuts. Of course, there’s a LOT less to cut on me!
A fellow REALTOR friend (Kathy) posted a discount on Facebook for Barrel Oak Winery. The deal is over July 13, 2011, Click for deal – but I thought I’d post a picture of my bottles of wine from Barrell Oak Winery. My friends (and past clients) Drew and Dawn invited my wife and me to tour several Northern Virginia Wineries and we had a blast. Here’s a link to a list of local wineries.

Cover version of the Angry Birds theme song I found on youtube. I’m surprised how addicting this game is. I don’t spend much time on it because as soon as new versions are released I quickly finish them and then have to wait, seemingly forever, for the next installment.
I’m up to date with Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasonal and Angry Birds Rio (I know… sad)
I just found this new label in the West Springfield Whole Foods. I looked on their web site and they started business in Alexandria, Virginia in 2010 but they’re new to me. Pictured is their Pale Ale and it’s tasty and the head sticks to the glass in rings as you drink it, which is a good sign!
